You made it to the 2nd Trimester and look your doing just fine. It is likely that you have no symptoms anymore and you’ve even got some more energy. Don’t worry if you’ve still got symptoms and you still need to have a nap every so often. That’s normal too, we are all carrying a mini human!
14 weeks sounds much better then 13 weeks. It does not matter how many weeks pregnant you are. These weeks are flying by fast, they need to slow down. I don’t know if you are anything like me but half way though the week, I start saying ‘oh I’m nearly 15 weeks pregnant’ Before we know it, we will be at our 20 week scan and being told if it is a boy or girl. Of course, that is if you want to find out the gender of your baby. But the scary thing is that, 20 weeks is half way though our pregnanies. We are literally 6 weeks away from being half way though. This pregnancy needs to slow down!
There are many things that happen to you over the week and these are some of the things that your baby will be doing this week.
- Your baby uses the protein to help them build big stong muscles.
- Your baby can now bend their knees and elbows.
- Pancrea and Liver have started to produce fluid.
- Your Baby’s eyes can sense light.
- They can make facial expressions.
- They start to develop distingushing facial features.
Things might start to happen to you as well like, consipation, heartburnand round ligament pain. There are somethings that you can do to help reduce the symtoms that I have just mentioned.
Firstly, Consipation drink plently of water and eat alot of fibre. This will help trust me. The feeling of being bunged up and pregnant is not comfortable and tends not to have pretty end result. Secondly, heartburn try not to eat to late or to much in one sitting. It will only get worse when your baby starts to get bigger so you may as well find a way to deal with it and everyone has their own way, you just need to find the one that it good for you. Finally, round ligament pain, this can be pain in your stomach from the baby stretching and making stretch marks. I have been doing some research on what is the best way to reduce this pain. I have read that using a moisteriser or a oil on your stomach will make it easier for your stomach to stretch and not cause as much pain. But basically, there is not much that you can do to stop this pain and it’s all a part of pregnancy…this pain will only get worse.
Thank You for reading 🙂
